How do I get on the board?
The best way is to get involved. Most board members are
recruited from active volunteers. Some come from the social
committee. I personally was chosen because I was always willing
to lend a hand on work days.
An alternative is to challenge a sitting board member. Each
year at the annual meeting, the neighborhood holds an election
for the terms that are expiring. A simple majority is all that
is required.
MAJESTIC OAKS – RECALL MEETING SCHEDULE
The documents require a quorum of 33% of the members in good
standing to conduct a legal annual meeting. The Board has
declared all members to be in good standing. There are 414 lots
in Majestic oaks so 33% = 137 members present in person or by
proxy at the Annual Meeting. If a quorum is not achieved, the
following recall meeting schedule will be as follows (assuming
the annual meeting begins at 7PM):
1st Recall Meeting: 7:15 PM – 69 required for quorum
2nd Recall Meeting: 7:20 PM – 35 required for quorum
3rd Recall Meeting: 7:25 PM – 18 required for quorum
4th Recall Meeting : 7:30 PM – 9 required for quorum

Each member of your board of directors is elected to a three
year term. The election is held at the annual meeting, and the
neighborhood votes for the positions that are open or who's
term is expiring. If a board member resigns before the end of
his term, a new member is recruited from the community.
